SIMflange
High performance size-for-size HDPE flange adaptor, designed and manufactured to reduced costly upsizing of valves and optimise flow dynamics by maintaining pipe bore.
Here’s a few of our clients we’ve gone the extra mile for
Superior Connection - steel reinforced
Through it’s innovative design, SIMflange allows for a step down in flange size compared to traditional flange adaptors, wtithout the need to reduce the pipe size.Â
This allows size-for-size compatability with metallic valves. Reducing material cost and improveing operational output due to zero disruption of flow throught the bore of the assembly.
Injection moulded stub componants designed, manufactured and tested by SIMONA AG ensures repeatability of design and operational benefit for high volume demand.

Frequently asked questions about SIMflange
What is the difference between SIMflange and standard stub flange adaptors
You install our SIMflange the same as any other flange adaptor but the special PE flange and backing ring design allows you to connect to the next available flange size down. Example typical 250mm pipe would connect to a DN250 flange connection. With SIMflange you keep the 250mm pipe size, but you can reduce down to a DN200 flange size.
Can I use them with electrofusion collars
Yes, the pipe used in this adaptor is approved to EN 12201-2 so performs just as you would expect and is compatible with EF fittings and mechanical fittings alike. You can also butt weld directly on to pipe.
Won't it be expensive?
You can expect to pay a slight premium for SIMflange compared to conventional flange adaptors due to the addition of a steel reinforced stub. But the slight increase in cost is massively offset by the reduction in cost by downsizing the valve.
Is the fitting WRAS Reg 4 approved?
Yes, as we injection mould our fittings, unlike others. The materials used are the same as our standard range of WRAS approved spigot fittings and are suitable for use on drinking water networks.
Is SIMflange tested and approved?
Of course! We only release products to market that have passed rigorous testing to industry required specification. All applicable type testing has been conducted on the full assembly (not just the spigot components) so you can be confident that the assembly you receive is fit for purpose and will stand the test of time.
What gasket do I need to use with SIMflange?
Our SIMflange is tested and supplied with a high quality EPDM steel reinforced gasket made from WRAS approved materials. This is the only gasket approved with this fitting and ensures the product withstands the pressures required during operation.
