Smeckley Wood Close Headquarters Build

The big move to Sheepbridge trading Estate to accomodate growth and a brighter future. Located perfectly central in the UK. Allowing for easy access to vital transportation routes to support a nationwide distribution network.

Fusion Group was formed

Bring both operational sites and companies together creating a manufacturer backed distribution network.

Fusion Plastics Ltd Formed

A business built on the "can do" culture and philosophy of "if you don't try, you'll never know"

2013
Wolseley Plc Aquires Fusion Provida

Fusion distribution networks continue to grow and gain market share over competition after being acquired by Wolseley Group Plc

2014
Peak Pipe Systems Ltd Incorporation

Pipe Systems breaks away from the group to forge an independent future as Peak Pipe Systems, opening up further routes to market and growth as an independant PE pipe manufacturer

2015
Upgrade of two new extrusion machines

2x new upgraded extrusion machines bringing the newest extrusion technology to the Chesterfield production facility and opening doors in to the clean water market

2017
Power Upgrade

Considerble investment in the power infrastructure. The upgrade was a commitment to the future of SPPS and the ability to grow with the promising market. Taking power capacity to 2,000 kVA.

2018
Additional Extrusion Line Installed

A welcomed addition to SPPS extrusion capacity, increasing UK pipe size range to 630mm OD. This addition allows for a 30% increase in polymer processing to support growth in large volume secured projects.

2018
New Production Plant

Due to continued growth in the supply of fabricated fittings and bespoke services. SPPS takes on a 73,000 sqft production facility dedicated to high volume fabrications output. Welding from 63mm - 630mm and specialists product development and bespoke fabrications offering.

New despatch warehouse built.

This addition to storage capacity allows for a step up in high volume despatch of goods and extra storage of core stocked products

ClearDuct patent filed

First beadless PE pipe manufactured for power ducting protection market - A huge innovative step for Peak in the power sector offering a safe and operational efficient ducting system to ENA TS 12-24

Gas 5.5 bar Approvals Granted

SPPS first step in to the UK gas market. Obtaining gas approvals for 5.5bar pressure to GIS PL2-2. This was a strong position to play joining an exisiting supply chain of 2 gas approved manufacturers in the UK.

2019
Additional Polymer Silos

To support the planned investment in production capacity, the supporting infrastructure required meant that the increase of material storage was critical. Adding two new 80 tonne silos increased storage capacity by 25%.

500mm Aquaculture compression machine installed.

A first in the industry. A robust moulded componant design in house for the roughest ocean dwelling systems for the specialist Aquaculture markets. Showing the benefits of polyethylene for all applications

Gas 7 bar Approvals Granted

Further strength in the SPPS gas product portfolio, with the addition of approved 7 bar gas pipe to GIS PL2-8

2020
Gas Fabricated Fittings

Pressure gas fabricated fittings approval GIS PL2-6 obtained. This added further to the growing portfolio of gas products in to the market.

2021
Full vehicle fleet moved to hybrid or electric.

A step in the green direction, as the entire fleet has transitioned to hybrid and EV vehciles, reducing our carbon footprint.

2021
EV Charges installed.

Full EV charging banks installed at HQ Chesterfield, supported by an array of solar panels on the production facilities. this is to provide green fuel for the fleets of business vehicles.

2022
Supply ClearDuct to DoggerBank OSWF

Supply of ClearDuct to the largest off shore windfarm in the world. This being the largest single order ever received for SPPS and massive step forward in the power sector

SIMONA Group acquires Peak Pipe Systems

A huge step forward for Peak, as they become part of SIMONA Group, the largest PE fittings manufacturer in the world. Expanding the product portfolio in to the UK.

FM Pipe Approval - UK First

First UK manufacturer to obtain FM 1613 approval for fire mains supply. Supported by SIMONA Groups range of FM approved spigot fittings.

Additional Pipe Yard Expansion

An increase of 120,000 sqft storage yard for further expansion of SPPS stock holding. Allowing SPPS to hold in excess of £5mn worth of pipe stocks.
