Electrofusion fittings make for the most reliable connection of PE pipes, and our cutting-edge range is certainly no exception. Joints are critical components in any pipe network, and it’s vital to make sure they’re secure and resistant to leaks. Designed and created by world-leading manufacturer, Fusion Group Ltd., our range of electrofusion fittings means utilities, designers and contractors can create fully welded pipe networks that last 50+ years.

Perfect for water, gas, and industrial pipelines, electrofusion is a modern and efficient method for joining polyethylene (PE) pipes and fittings. It uses electrical resistance to heat and fuse the materials together, creating a seamless and durable joint.

Frequently asked questions about electrofusion fittings

What are black water pipes used for?

Black water pipes are typically used for non-potable water applications, such as wastewater systems, sewerage, bulk water transfer and raw water extraction. This is not to be confused with blue water pipe, which is used for potable water. Our range of pipes includes options for more specialised applications, e.g. geothermal energy, landfill leachate management and siphonic drainage.

Yes, our black plastic piping systems are suitable for both above or below-ground installations, even in challenging environments. This is thanks to their lightweight, UV-resistant and corrosion-free properties. Blue water pipes are typically used for below-ground potable water systems.
You can use electrofusion or butt fusion joining on our water pipes. Both of these techniques ensure a strong, fully-welded system with maximum joint integrity – giving you, and your customers, confidence in a leak-free, long-lasting solution.
Sustainability is at the heart of our operations. As well as using recycled plastic in our pipe production, we’re continuously working to reduce our carbon footprint and build a sustainable culture within our team. Find out more about our initiatives here.
